Damaged caused by the snow in York
3:33pm 13th January 2010
The full extend of damage caused by the bad weather is beginning to emerge in York.
As a result of water seeping under flagstones and freezing, the ice has pushed up many pavements.
Footpaths on the south side of Lendal Bridge have suffered, with most of the bedding washed out from under the paving.
The council's also confirmed its to take out the flagstone on the East side of the Guildhall this evening and at the Museum Gardens west side tomorrow.
This is to make temporary repairs with tarmac.
Barriers have also been erected on some parts of the Lord Mayor's Walk, near York St John's University.
Some snow is forecast tonight, so the gritters will be out from 6pm.
