12:54pm 4th September 2013

Sherburn-in-Elmet police are appealing for information following a burglary in the town.

It happened, say police, between 8pm and 10.15pm on Friday 30 August 2013, from a garage at a house on Pasture Way.

Officers say that thieves stole a red Carrera Vulcan mountain bike, valued at £400. They add that the bicycle has front and rear disc brakes and 28 gears.

PC Graham Smith, of Sherburn–in-Elmet Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you know who stole the bike or have been offered one matching its description I ask that you contact the police straight away.”

Anyone who can assist with this enquiry is asked to contact Sherburn-in-Elmet police on 101, select option 2 and asked for Graham Smith. Alternatively information can be emailed to graham.smith@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.

Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference number 12130150026.
