Crash victim named after A1 pile-up

The man killed in yesterday's five vehicle pile-up on the A1 has now been named.
He was 69 year old Brian Pleace from Derbyshire, a van driver for a company in the home county.
He was driving his van when he hit the back of a coach pulling over onto the hard shoulder, where a second coach had brokedown.
As the van spun it was hit by two other HGV lorries.
North Yorkshire Police are now seeking a witness to the incident.
Someone driving a yellow or turquoise Mazda sounded their horn when passing by the crash.
