Lendal Bridge - Who Can Use It

It's the second day of the trial daytime ban of cars, vans and motorbikes over York's Lendal Bridge.
But Minster FM's found out Royal Mail vans can still use the bridge, as can the city council's bin lorries and gritters.
It's because they're judged to be essential to keeping the city centre going.
Buses, taxis, cyclists and pedestrians can all use the bridge thoughout the day, but cars, vans and motorbikes are no longer able to use the bridge from 10.30am to 5pm in the six month trial that started yesterday (27th August 2013).
The National Railway Museum's Road Train has also been given an exemption by York Council.
Meanwhile the six month trial could be extended, as it will take a few months to put together the reports to judge if it's been a success.
Transport boss Dave Merrett says no decision's been taken but there is flexibility in the trial scheme:
