A scheme which sees criminals cleaning up the streets of York looks set to be extended.
The Spring Clean earlier this year saw offenders on community service working with volunteers in Westfield, Tang Hall and Bell Farm.
They picked up more than 1,600 bags of litter, worked on shrub beds and cut back overgrowing plants on footpaths.
They also worked on a BMX track for Earswick Parish Council.
Today. a second event is likely to be approved either in May next year or add an extra clean up in the autumn.
More also looks set to be done to get more people volunteering and joining in with the clean up.
