Kirkbymoorside Skate Park Vandalised

Police car

4:12pm 13th August 2013

Malton police are hunting the vandals who damaged a skate park near the town.

Graffiti was sprayed on the park in Kirkbymoorside, between Wednesday 7 August and Friday 9 August 2013. From the damage that has been caused, it appears that whoever is responsible was disturbed and someone may have seen them leaving the area.

PC Tim Welford, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you know anything about who committed this utterly pointless act of mindless vandalism, I urge you to get in touch straight away.

“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the park and ask them to get in touch.”

Kirkbymoorside Town blogger Gareth Jenkins was one of the parents who raised money to get the skate park open.

Anyone who can identify the vandals is asked to contact Malton police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Tim Welford. Alternatively information can be emailed to tim.welford@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.

Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference number 12130135784.
