Malton Police Search for Shoplifting Suspects

Malton police have released images of a man and woman they would like to trace in connection with an incident of shoplifting in the town.
It occurred at around 2pm on Thursday 11 July 2013, from the Superdrug store on Wheelgate.
It is believed the couple entered the store before stealing a large quantity of cosmetics.
The man is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, in his late 30s or early 40s, with a stocky build and dark short hair. At the time he was wearing dark shorts and a light blue polo shirt.
The woman is described as white wearing a fake tan and having very pitted skin, aged in her late 30s, 5ft 7in tall, medium build and long black hair. She was wearing black trousers, a black top and carrying a large black bag.
PC Anna Rees, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If either of the people caught on camera is you and you are not responsible for this theft, I urge you to contact the police straight away so that I can eliminate you from my enquiries.
“I am also keen to speak to anyone who recognises either of the people caught on CCTV and ask them to get in touch.”
