The big freeze across North yorkshire and the UK is set to continue.
Last night temperatures plummeted well below freezing - up to minus 20 degrees celsius in Scotland - thats close to what you'd expect on the South Pole.
Here in North Yorkshire it got down to around minus eleven in the Vale of York.
And Graheme Butler from the Met Office is telling us the cold snap could be around for another 10 days yet in North Yorkshire.
Needless to say driving conditions across the county aren't great - we've got full travel reports throughout the day.
The freezing conditions have raised concerns of shortages and panic buying.
But shops and businesses insist they are coping and have told you not to worry.
Now the effects of the cold weather will have a knock on effect to our economy.
Its expected the wintry weather could end up costing the British economy billions of pounds
And as schools across North Yorkshire are expected to be closed again today next weeks GCSES AND A levels could be plunged into chaos - should they remain closed next week.
