North Yorkshire Police Commissioner Wants Views on Online Gun Licences
4:29pm 23rd July 2013
North Yorkshire Police and Julia Mulligan, the county’s Police and Crime Commissioner, want feedback on planned changes to the way Firearms services are accessed across the county.
Following national eCommerce guidance, applications and renewals for Firearms Licences will soon be available online. This means customers can log onto the North Yorkshire Police website at any time to fill in their forms rather than having to fill them in by hand and send them to the police. This should speed up the process and make it much more customer friendly too.
To understand how the shooting community in North Yorkshire would like to see the service they get from the police improve, they can complete the quick and easy online survey on the North Yorkshire Police website www.northyorkshire.police.uk/StakeholderSurvey or via Julia’s website www.northyorkshire-pcc.gov.uk
Julia Mulligan, Police and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire, said, “This is a welcome opportunity to improve the services we offer the shooting community by providing support online. This will make firearms licence application much more efficient, as well as speed up the process.
“We want to make sure residents in North Yorkshire get the service they want, so your feedback over the next week is crucial.”
