Police Search for Missing York Teenager

Chantelle Hughes 220713

4:57pm 22nd July 2013

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for the public to help locate a teenager who has been reported missing.

Chantelle Hughes, aged 15, has been missing from her home in York since Saturday 13 July 2013.

Since then, she has been seen in York and there was also a sighting of her at Northallerton train station on Wednesday 17 July 2013.

Officers are becoming concerned for Chantelle’s welfare, due to the length of time she has been missing.

Chantelle is described as white, around 5ft 4in tall, with blue eyes and pink hair.

Inspector Richard Abbott, of North Yorkshire Police, said: “Chantelle, I urge you to make contact with the police as soon as possible.

“You are not in any trouble, we just want to check that you are ok and no harm has come to you.

“Just pick up a pay phone – it is free to call the police – and let us know that you are ok.

“I also urge the public to keep an eye out for Chantelle and let us know if they see her.”

If you can help officers with their enquiries, please contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 1 – and pass information to the Force Control Room.
