17 Year Old Boy Mugged in Selby

Detectives are investigating after a teenager was robbed in Selby.

The victim, aged 17, was attacked near the Gypsy Moth pub on Flaxley Road at around 4.30am on Sunday 14 July 2013, and had his mobile phone and some cash stolen.

The offender then took him to the cash machine at the nearby Co-op and forced him to withdraw and hand over more money.

Enquiries are ongoing in the local area in an effort to trace the man responsible, including checking CCTV footage in and around the scene of the incident.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the robbery or knows the identity of the offender to contact them with information.

The offender is described as white, aged in his last 20s to early 30s, with a heavy build, a large stomach, and brown or black short hair.

He was spoke with slurred speech and was wearing a dark blue short-sleeved shirt buttoned up to the neck with cream trousers and black shoes.
