It'll be decided at a meeting today whether the Sainsbury's in Haxby can sell alcohol for longer.
But the councillior for Haxby and Wiggington, Ian Cuthbertson says that some people are worried it'll lead to anti-social behaviour.
It's after Sainsbury's applied for a license to sell alcohol between 6am and midnight around Christmas and Easter.
Sainsburys say they will do all they can to make sure people living nearby are not disturbed. They also say that the shop will be properly staffed at all times and will have a CCTV system operating during licensing hours. Sainsburys also add that they have an age verification policy in place.
City of York Council will decide whether to approve or decline the application to change the license today.
