Schools In Malton And Thirsk Could Get Extra Funding

Schools in Malton and Thirsk could get extra funding. The government's announced the introduction of a sparsity fund of up to £100,000 to made available to councils, to give to schools in rural areas.
It's not known yet exactly how much North Yorkshire County Council will get.
Thirsk and Malton MP Anne McIntosh says "This is a very welcome announcement and recognises that one of the big gaining authorities will be North Yorkshire".
