Police Investigate Alne Cartier Watch Theft

Police are appealing for information following a high value jewellery theft near Easingwold.
Officers say the burglary occurred on Wednesday 5 June 2013, at a house on Main Street, Alne.
The thieves stole a large quantity of jewellery including a ladies’ Cartier bi-colour wristwatch, a Formula One Tag and a stainless steel Tag men’s wristwatches, silver necklaces, gold and silver cufflinks, antique brooches, pearl earrings and bracelets, including a Nelson Mandela and a Tiffany bangles.
The total value of the stolen items is in excess of £10,000.
Detective Constable Gary SmithOwen, of Northallerton CID, said: “If you know anything about this burglary, I urge you to contact the police straight away.
“I also need to speak to anyone who has been offered jewellery for sale matching the description of the stolen items and ask them to get in touch.”
