Our Local Hero Awards with Benenden Healthcare Society were held on 19th February 2010 to celebrate North Yorkshire's unsung heroes.

We'd like to thank all those who attended and who were involved in making it a very special evening, including singer Beverley Knight who made a surprise appearance!

CHRIS BELLERBY: Neighbour Of The Year Award with Carlton Towers
Awarded to the special person who goes out of their way to help their neighbours

MARTYN BATTEN: Make A Community Difference Award with Drive Clean
For that person who is always at the centre of community life. Improving things for everyone else in their area

EMILY ROBINSON: Musical Achievement Award with Mor Music
Awarded to someone who has shown musical achievement
