South Bank Community Cinema present ‘Billy Liar’ (1963)
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of ‘Billy Liar’, South Bank Community Cinema are proud to present a screening of the seminal British drama written by Keith Waterhouse and Willis Hall.
The film will be introduced by a guest speaker, Adrian MacKay, who will share his memories of the film's production. Please come and join us for an evening of classic entertainment with cabaret style seating and a licensed bar.

A great day out for all the family. The whole college is open with activities, events and Deliciously Yorkshire producer market running throughout the day. The British show jumping classes are also running throughout the day for anyone to watch, with trade and food stalls available.

Selby YFC's Summer Sizzler 'Down Under'
The best Summer Party in Yorkshire is back for its 7th year and is set to be a fantastic night once again. The event is hosted by Selby Young Farmers and is called 'Selby's Summer Sizzler Down Under'which is a BBQ and dance held at Allotment Farm, Wistow Common, Selby, YO8 3RW on Saturday 22nd June 2013. Tickets are £15 and this includes your steak BBQ and pudding, there is famous Leeds band, 'Styckleback' playing along with DJ LK from 7.30pm until 2.30am. This year we are going 'Down Under' with an Australian theme so dig out your cork hats and come and enjoy our 'Ozzie Hour' where drinks are a £1 for the first hour.There will be a cocktail bar, tombola and much more and proceeds will go to Candlelighters Leeds, Yorkshire Cancer Research and Magnolia Cancer Care Center York following our members' decision to have a 'war on cancer' after many of our members have had friends or family affected by this terrible illness. So along and join us for a great night dancing, drinking and didgeridoo-ing! All are welcome, under 18's must be accompanied with a responsible adult and ID must be shown for over 18's.
