Victorian Christmas at the Castle
Experience the magic of a Victorian Christmas this December, surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of the festive season in days gone by.

Take part in A Christmas Mystery and stroll along the beautifully decorated cobbled street Kirkgate to meet the shopkeepers and characters as they prepare for the big day. Enjoy festively themed family crafts and make traditional decorations to take home with you. Then meet Father Christmas who will be flying in from the North Pole to meet children to offer traditional gifts and spread Christmas cheer.

Back by popular demand, Chris Cade’s unique one man family performance of A Christmas Carol will be performed under the garlands on the Victorian street as Ebenezer Scrooge discovers the true meaning of Christmas.

King Lear
York Shakespeare Project's fast-paced production of Shakespeare's epic tragedy brings the story of KIng Lear close to our lives, asking, "What would you do if you lost everything?"
Lear, King of Britiain, divides his kingdom among his three daughters. When his favourite, Cordelia, does not lavish him with praise, he disinherits her. The remaining daughters, Goneril and Regan, mistreat him and his mind begins to crack. Civil war looms, a foreign army invades, and loyalties are tested beyond reason. Which side would you choose?
This is the 30th play presented by the York Shakespeare Project as it pursues its mission to perform all of the Bard's plays in York within twenty years.

Ride-away Jingle and Mingle Christmas Event
We have lots going on over the 4 days ..

Thursday 1st we will be open 9am-9pm and the day will be focused on stocking up your feed for Christmas. We will have lots of feed suppliers in offering advice on their feeds.

Friday 2nd we will open 9am-9pm and will be focusing on local craft businesses who will be selling gifts perfect for Christmas gifts for your horse lover friends or family. We will also have Razor sharp in sharpening clipper blades whilst you wait.

Saturday 3rd will be open 9am-5pm and we will be focusing on protection. We will have some of the leading brand reps in offering advice and fitting of their protection gear.

Sunday 4th we will be open 10am-4pm and we will focus the day on local services. We will have North Yorkshire Police on site tack marking and EA rug washing offering a collection point for all your dirty rugs.

From 14th Nov, we are running a gift-a-thon for Riding for the Disabled where you can buy an extra item at the till and we will donate it to Riding for the Disabled along with 25% of the profit mad on those items.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame - The Panto
Governor LeTrump is determined to cast his menacing spell over the city of Paris but with the circus in town, his evil plans slowly begin to unravel. Fortune teller Celia Fate and her son Summer are spreading an air of anarchy among the citizens. Celia’s daughter Esmerelda is proving to be quite a distraction and now even Quasimodo is causing problems every time he sneaks out of the cathedral.

Will LeTrump fine the court of miracles? Will Esmerelda get her man? Can Quasimodo escape to save the day?

There’s only one way to find out.

Skelton Schools Christmas Fair In YORK
Loads of stalls and local businesses will be there including a tombola, cake stalls, christmas craft stalls, a range of amazing products and services, from jewellery to clothes to art and gifts and much much more…

Last year at Skelton Christmas Craft Fair it was a great success and we had a great turn out and alot of support raffle tickets we sold and lots of great prizes were won, so we would like to invite everyone back to do it all again, hopefully this year we can make it bigger and better, (and raaise even more money for the children).

Most of everything for sale is handmade with love and care the stall holders products all share one thing in common and thats a passion for what they do.
